Shabbat Hagadol Drasha

The rabbi will deliver his annual Shabbat Hagadol Drasha this Shabbat, April 20, between Mincha and Maariv in the Main Sanctuary. This year's Drasha topic is: בדמייך חיי—Through Your Bloods You Shall Live All are encouraged to attend. The Drasha is once again sponsored by Mark and Sandy Abraham in memory of their parents, Arnold Rosenberg z"l and Helen Sue and Emanuel Abraham z"l. Please note: there will be no Seudah Shlishit in shul this Shabbat.

Siyum Bechorim

On Erev Pesach, this Monday, April 22, there will be two minyanim for Shacharit each followed by a siyum. Mazel Tov to the following members who will be making siyumim:

At 6:35 a.m. Shacharit: siyum by Betzalel and Meir Posy on Mishnah Seder Nashim.

At 8:00 a.m. Shacharit: siyum by Justin Hornstein on Yerushalmi Maasrot.

Refreshments sponsored by Susan and Justin Hornstein in commemoration of the yahrzeit of his mother, Roslynd Hornstein z"l.  For those firstborns not taking advantage of this opportunity,תענית בכורים begins at 4:56 a.m. and ends at 8:26 p.m.

Biur Chametz

Burn Chametz by: 11:36 a.m. There will be a communal burning of chametz available in the shul parking lot this Monday, April 22 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Please save a very small amount of chametz from the bedikah the night before and burn it. Please do not place plastic bags with the chametz into the fire. If burning is not possible, one may flush the chametz down a drain.

Biur Chametz and Pesach Waste Disposal: Edison

Garbage, recycle trucks and chametz burning will be available at the corner of N. 8th Ave. & Edgemount Rd (Tennis Courts/Earl Schenck Miers Park) from 7:00-11:30 a.m. this Monday, April 22. Please limit chametz burning to what is ritually necessary, and note that this is for Edison residents only. Thank you for your cooperation, and have a Pesach Kasher V'sameach.

Highland Park Chametz Disposal Drop-off

The Borough's Department of Public Works offers a Chametz disposal drop-off service for any residents who wish to drop off garbage and recycling materials. Chametz disposal will be offered on Monday, April 22 during the hours of 6:30 a.m.–11:45 a.m. at the Department of Public Works: 444 Valentine Street.
