From the Garden State Parkway (coming from the North) |
Take the Garden State Parkway south to exit 130. (Route 1 south) Stay on Route 1 for about 6 miles till you see signs for Highland Park, and exit by the sign that says Highland Park and has an arrow on it. You are now on Woodbridge Avenue. Stay on Woodbridge Avenue and after a few traffic signals there will be a traffic signal where five streets come together. Continue in the direction closest to straight and you will be on Raritan Avenue. (Route 27 south) Stay on Raritan Avenue till you come to First Avenue and make a left onto it. Continue till you see Congregation Ahavas Achim on the right. There is a parking lot at the synagogue, but if it is full parking is allowed on the street. (Some streets only on one side.)

From the New Jersey Turnpike (coming from the North or South) |
Take the New Jersey Turnpike to exit 9. (Route 18) Take Route 18 north past the Route 1 interchange till you see a sign for Highland Park and Route 27 north. Take Route 27 north over the Raritan River and stay in the right lane. Stay on Route 27 (Raritan Avenue) till the third traffic light (First Avenue) and turn right onto First Avenue. Continue till you see Congregation Ahavas Achim on the right. There is a parking lot at the synagogue, but if it is full parking is allowed on the street. (Some streets only on one side.)

From Route 287 (coming from the West) |
Take Route 287 south to exit 9. (Indicated as Highland Park exit) From the ramp make a right onto River Road heading toward Highland Park. Stay on River Road till it ends at a traffic light. (about 5 miles). Make a left onto Raritan Avenue. Stay on Raritan Avenue till you come to First Avenue (second traffic light) and make a right onto it. Continue till you see Congregation Ahavas Achim on the right. There is a parking lot at the synagogue, but if it is full parking is allowed on the street. (Some streets only on one side.)

From Route 440 (coming from Brooklyn/Queens/Long Island) |
After crossing the Verrazano Bridge stay on Route 278 till you see a sign for Route 440 south (West Shore Expressway). Take Route 440 south till the exit for the Outerbridge Crossing. (I think exit 2) Cross over the Outerbridge Crossing. (You are still on Route 440 south but it's name will change to Route 287 north shortly). Take Route 287 north to the exit for Route 27 south. (towards New Brunswick) Stay on Route 27 south for about 5 miles till you come into Highland Park. (There will be several traffic lights in a row, one on each block.) Stay on Raritan Avenue till you come to First Avenue and make a left onto it. Continue till you see Congregation Ahavas Achim on the right. There is a parking lot at the synagogue, but if it is full parking is allowed on the street. (Some streets only on one side.)
